- Abstract (EN)
- Automated Simulation Model Generation (ASMG) has been a longstanding research area with growing relevance as production systems and supply chains become more complex and data-driven. While most ASMG projects are customized, this paper introduces a morphological box as a structured framework to guide design decisions. This box systematically categorizes key ASMG parameters, such as modeling paradigms and data needs. The paper demonstrates its application through two use cases, highlighting how specific ASMG techniques and morphological box criteria combinations are chosen. The ultimate goal is to automate this decision-making and model generation process, significantly reducing initial modeling time and minimizing human error. Results indicate that ASMG, guided by the morphological box, effectively reduces modeling effort. However, its long-term applicability hinges on robust meta-model design and continuous adaptation, as creating universal ASMG generators remains challenging due to inherent complexity and domain-specific requirements
