- Abstract (EN)
- This paper introduces a hybrid framework that combines design of experiments, numerical optimization, discrete-event simulation, and Large Language Models to support production planning and control. The framework systematically explores solutions for optimizing workforce allocation in semi-automated work cells. By incorporating LLM, the approach significantly reduces manual configuration effort in simulation studies while enabling comprehensive experimentation. The methodology's basic effectiveness is demonstrated through implementation in two automotive aftermarket plants with different automation levels, successfully identifying optimal worker-machine allocations.
