- Abstract (EN)
- Decision support systems (DSS) are essential tools for addressing the increasing complexity and dynamic changes in production logistics. This study provides a systematic evaluation of DSS applications in production logistics, focusing on simulation-based methods to provide a basis for systematic evaluation of DSS. A structured literature review was conducted, following the methodology proposed by vom Brocke et al. (2009). Key areas analysed focus on production planning and control, internal transport, warehousing, and factory layout planning. Results indicate that simulation remains a dominant decision support method, often combined with optimization techniques to enhance decision-making processes. The study highlights the versatility of simulation across various logistical domains and emphasizes the need for standardized frameworks to improve comparability and application efficiency of DSS in production logistics.
