- Abstract (EN)
- Manufacturing companies foster their activities in digitalization by building digital twins to become more efficient and competitive. In terms of production systems, simulation-based digital twins play a key role to enable digitaldriven business cases in manufacturing. Building up the underlying simulation models still takes a lot of time due to high manual modelling and programming efforts. Furthermore, collaboration in modelling is hindered by individual styles due to missing standardization. The Bosch Factory Simulation Library enables organizations to overcome these challenges by providing the required standard objects to simulate production systems in the Siemens software Tecnomatix Plant Simulation and by automizing previously manual and repetitive modelling steps. Furthermore, the library is complemented by a corresponding training model enabling experienced and new Plant Simulation users to use simulation efficiently.
