- Trimethylolpropane poly(oxypropylene)triamine (TMPPOPT) (CAS 39423-51-3)¹ is a reaction product of propylidynetrimethanol, propylene oxide and ammonia. According to the European Chemical Agency dossier,² it has a wide range of applications, primarily as a curing agent in epoxy resin systems and as a lubricant in high-performance metalworking fluids (MWF). TMPPOPT showed no sensitizing properties in a Buehler test in guinea pigs.² To our knowledge, no cases of contact allergy to TMPPOPT in humans have been described so far.
